Your blog, readable by AI agents.

agentprose gives every page of your site WebMCP tools that let AI agents search, read, outline and cite your posts. One script tag, zero config, read-only, about 10 KB.

Open source · MIT · v0.1.3 on npm

AI assistants increasingly answer from your site instead of sending people to it. Without tools they scrape your theme’s HTML and guess. With agentprose they call search_posts, get_post and get_citation, get clean Markdown back, and quote you with your link attached.

Built for content, not for actions

Zero config

Reads what your site already publishes: JSON-LD, OpenGraph, <article>, RSS/Atom/JSON Feed, sitemaps, llms.txt and Pagefind. Works on Hugo, Jekyll, Astro, Eleventy, Next.js and plain HTML.

Full articles, paged

Agents get the whole post as Markdown, with sections and a table of contents. Long posts continue with next_offset; nothing is silently cut.

Citations you can check

get_citation confirms a quote really appears in the post and returns a text-fragment link that scrolls to and highlights it.

Safe by default

Every built-in tool is read-only and same-origin. Content is marked untrusted, management tokens are refused, and nothing is tracked unless you ask.

Any CMS

WordPress is detected automatically. Adapters for Ghost, Sanity, Contentful, Enonic, Strapi and Storyblok, plus proxy mode for private tokens.

Works in today's browsers

Native WebMCP where Chrome ships it, and the pinned, integrity-checked MCP-B polyfill everywhere else, so agents can find the tools now.

Install

Pick the way your site is built. Each path registers the same tools.

Paste into your layout’s <head>. That’s the whole install.

<script src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/agentprose@0/dist/agentprose.min.js" defer></script>

@0 follows every 0.x release. Pin an exact version if you review every change.

Check what agents see

Open any page of your site with ?agentprose-inspect and the 🔌 inspector lists every tool and runs it, exactly as an agent would. Or ask the CLI from your terminal:

Terminal window
npx agentprose inspect https://your-blog.example/

Pick your path

Let agents quote you correctly

agentprose is MIT licensed. The core, every tool, the CLI, all adapters and the WordPress plugin stay free.
